Enjoy opportunities for new spontaneity as you learn his exciting collage technique that eliminates liquid adhesives from the collage-assembly process. Other subjects covered include the"paperless" transfer of printed and photocopied images, tissue overlays, permanency of materials, preparation of substrates, sources of tools and materials, presentation and framing of finished works, and more. The Morris Museum of Arts and Sciences, Marlboro College, The New Jersey Center for Visual Arts, The Cape Cod Museum of Art, Kansas State University, The Connecticut Graphic Arts Center, Sacred Heart University, The Mendocino Art Center, Mesa State College, Esalen, The Ohio Watercolor Society, The Indiana Arts Education Association, The Beaufort Art Association, Southern Utah University, and Mutual Benefit Life, Inc. are just some of the many organizations which have hosted past Talbot Workshops, Demonstrations, and Presentations.

studio image crystal ball Monday, June 11 through Wednesday, June 13, 2018. The Artist's Studio - Warwick, NY: COLLAGE TECHNIQUES & CREATIVE EXPLORATION 2018 Enjoy new opportunities for spontaneity as you learn how to eliminate liquid adhesives from the collage-assembly process. Other subjects to be covered include "Getting Started," Accessing our Creative Energies, "Paperless" Transfer of Printed and Photocopied Images, Preserving Found Materials, Preparation of Substrates, Sources of Tools and Materials, Presentation and Framing of Finished Works, and more (some of this workshop's specific goals will be determined by the participants at the beginning of the workshop). Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Workshop Fee: $400. Includes all materials, a free copy of "Collage: A New Approach," access to all tools in the studio, and continental breakfast, full lunch (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. upon request), & refreshments each day. The Artist's Studio - Warwick, NY: FOCUS ON IMAGE TRANSFER During this one-day workshop we will explore a variety of acrylic image transfer techniques including hand coloring transfers, removing the paper before the transfer has been applied, removing the paper after the transfer has been applied, transferring directly from magazines, how to create right-reading transfers with and without a computer, and more. Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Workshop Fee: $150. Learn the practical aspects of "getting your work 'out-there'" with internationally-known painter, printmaker and collage artist Jonathan Talbot who has sold more than thirty thousand works of art everywhere from the sidewalks of San Francisco to some of New York's most prestigious galleries. Subjects covered include Framing and Presentation, Determining Your Goals, Finding Your Audience, Promoting Yourself & Your Work, Pricing Your Work, Making a Profit, Putting it All Together & Making it Happen, and more. Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Workshop Fee: $100.
