I have been meaning to write for a long time and I am finally getting to it. I owe you a huge thank you for helping me so much at a workshop that was held in New York Mills, Minnesota in 2001. You may remember me as the student from Milwaukee, Wi.

I can't tell you how significant that workshop experience was for me. It really helped to put me on a far better path than the one I was traveling. My work is so much better, freer and more confident. I trust my instincts so much more than I did before. I can't quite express what happened and how you helped it to happen. In retrospect it was a magical time for me that brushed a lot of cobwebs out of my brain and helped me to trust myself, be more fearless and damned well do what I want to do and not what I think will sell or be accepted. I think of you often and so appreciate the gifts you gave me.
